What does "clean eating" actually mean?
Clean eating is a way of eating based on the idea that the best way to eat is to abundantly enjoy whole foods — that is, foods as close to their natural state as you can get them. Clean eating is a movement that signifies a person is trying to make wiser choices about the foods they eat .The goal with clean eating is to eat whole, natural foods. The basic principles of clean eating are easy to understand and follow. These are the basic clean eating principles:
Eating a mini-meal every two to three hours (5 to 6 small meals per day total) to keep blood sugar level and prevent hunger. When you're eating clean, whole foods like fruits and vegetables are obvious choices. Minimally processed foods with short ingredient lists can also fit into a clean-eating diet. Choose foods with healthy ingredients like whole grains and healthy fats and those low in added sugar and salt.
